PUBLIC NOTICE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR IRRIGATION EXPANSION This is notice that the Bow River Irrigation District is now accepting applications for new irrigation acres as part of its approved expansion program. Applications for new dryland parcels and intensification of irrigated parcels will be accepted until 4:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Applications received after the deadline may or may not be accepted. Applications will be accepted for any parcel(s) that could receive water from the BRID canal infrastructure and/or the Alberta Environment Carseland Bow Reservoirs or Main Canal. Applicants are advised that making application does not guarantee the granting of irrigation acres as the BRID will need to evaluate all applications to determine the ability to service any particular parcel. Approved applications for intensification acres will have the option of irrigating in 2012, presuming infrastructure capacity and soil class is adequate. All payments must be submitted to the BRID prior to the receipt of the acres. Applications must be in writing and contain the legal description of the parcel, the number of acres applied for and must be signed by the registered landowner or a person authorized to sign on behalf of that landowner. For your convenience, application forms are available at the office and on the BRID webpage in .pdf format at the following links; however, a letter, fax or email would be acceptable providing it contains the above-noted information and is received (or postmarked in the case of a mailed application) by the deadline of May 15, 2012. New Irrigation Acres Application Form Application forms or further information can be obtained by contacting Rolf Schwabe or Brian Hagen at the BRID office in Vauxhall. Please submit applications to:
