The Bow River Irrigation District is looking to fill the following positions.

Landman


The Bow River Irrigation District is looking for a Landman. This position will be for 5 days (37.5 hours) per week. This is a temporary position covering a maternity leave. It will be for a period of approximately 14 months.

Duties include:

  • Perform right of way and easement negotiations and acquisition
  • Act as landowner liaison
  • Oversee oil and gas leases
  • Respond to Utility Safety Partners locate requests
  • Prepare crossing agreements
  • Oversee wildlife and habitat agreements
  • Register and discharge documents with Land Titles
  • Perform other land related duties

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong problem solving skills

Previous experience working in a similar position would be considered an asset.

Labourer


The Bow River Irrigation District is looking for a labourer to work 30-40 hours per week, reporting to the Maintenance Foreman.

Duties include:

  • Performing manual labour on a construction crew
  • Performing other manual tasks as required

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Be in good physical condition
  • Be able to operate small tools and equipment
